Three suspects, identified as Jesus De Nazareth Bellorin-Guzman (23), Jose Luis Trivino-Cruz (35), and Yosguar Aponte Jimenez (20) are facing capital murder charges in regard to a shooting that happened at a Motel 6 in Garland, Texas, on June 20, 2025. The victim is a 48-year-old man, who lived in Las Vegas, and was found in the parking lot of the motel early in the morning, and then died sometime later.
Garland police say that the shooting was connected with an aggravated robbery that had occurred earlier in the morning at a different motel. Security video, testimony and police affidavits indicate that the suspects arranged meetings under pretext to target and rob people - one of whom was later robbed at Motel 6.
Charges & Bond
Each suspect faces capital murder charges.
They are currently being held without bond due to immigration holds.
Combined bond amounts across the three exceed $6.9 million, with individual bonds in the range of ~$1.5M to over $3.2M for charges including aggravated robbery and indecent assault
Investigation Status
The enquiry is still under way. Officials have suggested it could be part of a larger trend in which suspects claimed the three offenders had engaged in more than 25 robberies, which frequently targeted people who they felt would not report crimes to the police.
