Gameplay Highlights

Classic Battlefield classes are back: Assault, Engineer, Support, Recon with class tools and weapons.

Destruction-centered maps and landscapes, with cinematic effects such as crumbling buildings, bridges, dams, etc.

Kinesthetic Combat System, such as dragging incapacitated teammates and mounting weapons on walls to get tactical advantage.

The release will feature nine maps (such as revamped classics including Operation Firestorm), and modes such as Conquest, Rush, Breakthrough, Squad and Team Deathmatch, Domination, King of the Hill and Escalation.

Battlefield Portal is back with more map builder and game mode creation tools. EA has also announced a free-to-play Battle Royale mode, which will be introduced in Battlefield Labs (it is currently unclear whether this will be independent of the main campaign or not).
