Actress Loni Anderson has died
Loni Anderson (August 5, 1945 3 August 2025) at Age 79, was an American actress. Anderson was most popular as the character Jennifer Marlowe on the CBS sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati (1978-82).
She died in a Los Angeles hospital of an "acute prolonged illness," as her longtime publicist Cheryl J. Kagan stated.
Career Accomplishments & Record
Anderson made her breakthrough as the clever, sexy receptionist who did not conform to the dumb blonde stereotype, which won her two Emmy Award nominations and three Golden Globe nominations during her time at WKRP.
She worked over forty years, having appeared in television shows such as Nurses, Three's Company and in the 2023 Lifetime film Ladies of the 80s: A Divas Christmas with Morgan Fairchild and others.
Personal Life and Tributes
The high-profile marriage with Burt Reynolds (1988-1994) and their adopted son Quinton was tabloid fodder; she subsequently remarried musician Bob Flick in 2008.
Tributes followed her death. Actress Barbara Eden recalled that she was indeed a good person with a sharp wit and a gleaming sense of humor.
Her death signals the conclusion of a legendary career, but her words resonate in her performances and the contributions she made to the way that television depicted women. In case you would like to know more about her filmography, personal life or tributes, I would be happy to assist you.
