The Walking Dead’ Actress Kelley Mack Dies at 33 After Brave Battle with Rare Brain Cancer

Actress Kelley Mack (born Kelley Lynne Klebenow) (August 2, 2025 33) who played Addy in Season 9 of The Walking Dead, and appeared on Chicago Med and 9-1-1, died of diffuse midline glioma, a rare and aggressive central nervous system brain tumor. She passed away in her native city of Cincinnati, surrounded by her mother and aunt.

She was diagnosed in late 2024 and publicly documented her medical experience, including the loss of mobility in her legs due to a spinal biopsy and treatment processes, including proton radiation therapy. She remained inspirational to fans with her bravery and progress reports, including the ability to climb stairs with the help of a walker in early 2025 despite the adversities.

Mack graduated Chapman University (2014) and had 35 acting credits and 5 producing credits. She starred in such films as Broadcast Signal Intrusion, Delicate Arch, and her last appearance as “Ricky” in a Universal production earlier this year.

Her family recalled her as a bright fervent light. Her sister Kathryn has mentioned that the loved ones started to see butterflies after her death, as a symbolicribute. The memorial service will take place in Ohio, on August 16, 2025. Mack leaves her parents Kristen and Lindsay, her sister Kathryn and brother Parker as well as her grandparents Lois and Larry and her boyfriend Logan.
